- Allocation, application charges and visa approval are separate questions.
- A zero-visa package does not itself provide residence permission.
- Compare each applicant’s costs and renewal terms, not only the licence fee.
What does “two visas” mean in a quote?
Ask whether it means capacity for two applications, the processing charges for two people or a promotion with specific exclusions. The phrase alone is not enough to compare one package with another.
Request a breakdown for the actual applicants. A founder moving from abroad and someone already resident in the UAE may need different steps. Eligibility and the final immigration decision remain separate from buying the package.
Separate the three parts
| Part | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Allocation | How many eligible applications can the company support? |
| Processing | Which company and individual application charges are paid? |
| Approval | What conditions must the company and each applicant satisfy? |
Facility rules matter too. A desk package’s allocation can differ from a private office’s. Check the authority’s current rules and any upgrade route rather than relying on another founder’s experience.
Which line items should be explained?
Depending on the route, ask about the establishment file, entry or status steps, medical fitness, identity processing and insurance. Some items may be included and others separately charged. The point is to make that visible before paying, not to assume that every application needs an identical list.
How should you compare a zero-visa package?
Compare it against your actual residence and hiring needs. If you already have a separate residence arrangement, ask whether the proposed licence can work with it and what other permissions apply. If you intend to sponsor yourself later, ask about the facility change, company file and application costs before choosing the entry package.
A zero-visa label should not be read as permission to live or work in the UAE without the relevant status.
Write down the renewal scenario
Ask what happens when a visa expires, an employee leaves or an allocation is used again. Keep the licence, establishment card and individual visa dates in separate calendar entries. Our setup cost checklist helps keep one-off and recurring items apart.
