Getting started

What is a channel partner, and why use one?

Free zones and mainland authorities appoint channel partners to help companies apply on their behalf. Because we work with many of them, we can compare your options honestly and handle the whole setup for you.

Are you tied to one free zone?

No. We work with the UAE’s major free zones and mainland authorities, so we recommend whichever one fits your activity, budget and plans.

How long does it take to set up a company in the UAE?

It depends on the setup type, your activity and how quickly documents are ready. Free zone setups are often the fastest. You’ll get a realistic timeline in your consultation.

Can I own 100% of my company?

Yes, in free zones and for most mainland activities. A small number of strategic activities still have ownership conditions, and we’ll check yours before you apply.

Do I need to be in the UAE to set up?

Much of the setup can be done remotely. If you need a residence visa, you’ll need to be in the UAE for the medical test and biometrics.

What does business setup in Dubai involve?

Choosing your activities and setup type, picking a free zone or authority, reserving a trade name, applying for your license, then sorting your office, visas and bank account. We handle each step for you.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. We’ll recommend the right setup and show you every cost before you decide.

Mainland, free zone or offshore

Do I need a local sponsor for a mainland company?

For most commercial and industrial activities, no. Foreign investors can own 100% of a mainland company. A small number of strategic activities still need a UAE partner, and we’ll check yours before you apply.

Which is the cheapest free zone in the UAE?

Zones in the Northern Emirates, such as UAQ FTZ, SHAMS, AMC Free Zone and RAKEZ, are often among the most affordable. The cheapest option for you depends on your activity and how many visas you need, so we compare real quotes side by side.

Can a free zone company work with mainland clients?

A free zone company can usually serve clients outside the UAE and inside its zone directly. Trading on the mainland may need a distributor, a branch or a separate mainland license, and we’ll explain the options for your activity.

Offshore or free zone: which should I choose?

Choose offshore if you only need to hold assets or trade internationally. Choose a free zone if you need an office, visas or customers in the UAE.

What is the best free zone in Dubai?

There’s no single best zone. DMCC suits trading and services, IFZA and Meydan suit startups and consultancies, JAFZA suits logistics and manufacturing, and DIFC suits finance. We match the zone to your business.

Visas and banking

How many visas can my company get?

It depends on your license and office. In free zones it’s set by your package; on the mainland it’s based on your office size.

Can I sponsor my family?

Yes, residence visa holders can sponsor their spouse and children if they meet the salary and housing requirements. We’ll check what applies to you.

How long does it take to open a business bank account in the UAE?

It varies by bank and by your business profile. A complete, well-prepared application is the biggest factor, which is where we help most.

Do I need to be in the UAE to open the account?

Many banks ask to meet you in person, and some offer video meetings. We’ll tell you what each bank needs.

Tax and compliance

Do I need to register for corporate tax?

Most UAE businesses must register, even if they pay nothing. The 9% rate applies to taxable profit above AED 375,000, and qualifying free zone income can be taxed at 0%.

When must a business register for VAT?

Registration is mandatory when taxable supplies exceed AED 375,000 a year, and voluntary from AED 187,500. We check your position and register you.

What does a PRO do?

A Public Relations Officer handles a company’s paperwork with government departments, such as license renewals, visas and approvals.
