- Describe the project tasks your company will actually perform.
- Separate coordination from regulated technical work.
- Agree authority, reporting and change approval in client contracts.
What does managing the project mean?
One consultant tracks a software rollout. Another coordinates an office move. A third wants to oversee construction. Those examples can share a job title while involving very different activities and approvals.
List your tasks in a proposed statement of work. Say whether you only report progress, instruct suppliers, approve spending or sign off technical work. Include where the team works and who carries the delivery responsibility.
Check the boundary before choosing a package
Dubai’s business setup process begins with the activity and company decisions. Take your task list to the relevant authority and ask which activity fits it.
If the scope includes engineering design, technical certification, construction or another regulated profession, get the appropriate specialist and authority review. A general consulting description should not be used to imply permission for a technical role that needs its own approval.
Make the client’s authority clear
A project manager can become responsible for decisions that were never included in the fee. Record who approves budgets, supplier appointments and changes to scope. Explain what you monitor and what the client or technical specialist must decide.
- Define the reporting timetable and expected deliverables.
- Record who can instruct suppliers and approve spending.
- Agree how delays and change requests are escalated.
- Identify the specialists responsible for technical sign-off.
For example, organising a new office does not necessarily mean your company should certify building works. Keep the coordination task and the technical role visible in separate parts of the contract.
Compare the company around the delivery model
A remote scheduling consultant and an on-site team need different facilities and staffing arrangements. Explain client locations, travel, employees and any equipment when comparing mainland and free zone options.
Include the licence, workspace, visas and appropriate contract or insurance advice in the budget. Ask which services are included in the formation quote and which depend on third-party approvals.
Kompani Setup can help organise those company formation choices around a real project brief. Bring a sample scope with the decision-making responsibilities marked out. That allows a more useful discussion than asking for a generic project management licence.
